The Process
Our artist, Adrienne Wall, will start with your image and digitally paint every pixel, stroke by stroke, using a variety of digital brushes and techniques designed to mimic the look of a traditional oil painting.
The painting is then printed directly onto canvas using the highest quality pigment-based inks, resulting in our Fine Art Giclee Canvas.
After printing, contour brush strokes are applied using painting mediums that give the painting an additional authentic look.
Finally your painting is varnished, just as a traditionally painted portrait would be finished.
This process allows for a level of accuracy that traditional oil paintings may lose, and the result is a stunning work of art that preserves the likeness of the subject but rivals a traditional oil painting in presentation.
How to Order
Place your order using the same online web gallery you use to order your child's daycare portraits. The item can be found under Painted Portraits in the left-hand column. Add the item, and then choose which image from your gallery you would like painted.
Once you place your order, the artist will review your portrait and contact you to discuss color schemes or make suggestions about what would best enhance your painting, like possibly removing graphics from a shirt, etc. She can also advise on any special requests you might have, such as using a specific color palette to compliment the room in which the painting will hang.
Additional Information
The painting is a 16x20 Fine Art Giclee Canvas and comes framed in our beautiful bronze frame moulding. Painting must be created from one of your child's daycare photos.
Price includes the commission fee and consultation with the artist, as well as the final painted portrait.

Because of the hand-painted nature of this product and drying time for mediums and varnishes, please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery. Delivery time can be expedited to 3-4 weeks for an additional $50 fee.

About the Artist
Your child's preschool photographer, Adrienne Wall, has been painting using traditional methods for many years and is a trained digital artist. In fact, if she has ever taken your child's portrait, it was probably in front of one of her hand-painted backgrounds! She has won several awards for her digital portraits and has been published in Elevate Your Art magazine, a periodical for excellence in digital artistry.
